Troubleshooting
Open a question below for the most common fixes.
The email application says my password is incorrect.
Confirm that you are entering the current mailbox password and not your website or client portal password. Also verify that your username is your complete email address.
I can receive messages, but I cannot send them.
Recheck the SMTP server. Use mail.mailconfig.net with SSL/TLS and port 465. Make sure outgoing authentication is enabled and uses your complete email address and mailbox password.
I can send messages, but new messages do not arrive.
Confirm that the incoming account type is IMAP, the server is mail.mailconfig.net, the port is 993, and SSL/TLS is enabled. Also check the Spam and Junk folders.
My folders or messages are not synchronized.
Confirm that the account was configured with IMAP rather than POP3. Close and reopen the email application, then allow several minutes for larger mailboxes to finish synchronizing.
Port 465 does not work on my network.
Try SMTP port 587 with SSL/TLS or STARTTLS, depending on the options provided by your email application.
