SnapCity Privacy Policy

SnapCity is a mobile application operated by SnapSite.us LLC (operating under Absolute Support, LLC) (“we,” “us”) that delivers official information — alerts, news, meetings, and documents — from participating local governments and public agencies to residents.
We built SnapCity to collect as little data as possible. There are no user accounts, no advertising, and no analytics profiles.
Information We Collect
Push notification token. When you enable notifications and select a community, your device generates a push notification token (an anonymous identifier issued by Apple or Google via the Expo push service). We store this token, associated with the community you selected, solely so that community can deliver alerts to your device. Tokens are not linked to your name or any personal identity — we do not know who you are.
Approximate location (optional). If you choose to allow location access, the app uses your device’s location once, at that moment, to suggest the nearest participating community. Your location is processed in real time and is not stored by us. You can decline location access and select your community manually — the app works fully without it.
That’s all. SnapCity does not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, files, browsing history, or any other personal information.
How We Use Information
- Deliver push notifications (alerts, news, and updates) from the community or communities you select
- Show you the content of your selected community
We do not use your information for advertising, marketing, analytics profiling, or any other purpose.
Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties. Push notifications are transmitted through Apple, Google, and Expo’s notification infrastructure as technically required to deliver them to your device; content you view is delivered from the publishing government entity.
Data Retention and Deletion
Push tokens are deleted automatically when they become invalid — including when you uninstall the app or disable notifications. Inactive tokens are removed from our systems automatically. Because we store no other data about you, uninstalling the app removes your data relationship with SnapCity entirely.
To request deletion of any data or ask a privacy question, contact us at privacy@snapsite.us and we will respond promptly.
Security
All communication between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS.
Children
SnapCity is intended for general audiences and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Government Content
The alerts, news, meetings, and documents shown in SnapCity are published by the participating government entities themselves. Each entity is responsible for the content it publishes. SnapCity is a technology platform provided by SnapSite.us LLC and is not itself a government agency.
Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy, we will update this page and revise the effective date above. Material changes will be noted in the app or on this page.
